Default Does anyone know anything about Zoroastrianism?

I am Persian and I want to get a tattoo that says "guardian spirit" so I narrowed it down to "Farvardin" and "Fravashi"

Although I'm not sure of this, I need second opinions.
I also want to know which one I should choose "Farvardin" or "Fravashi" http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.caroun.com/1-FreeDownload/Calligraphy/Months/01-Farvardin.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.caroun.com/1-FreeDownload/Calligraphy/Months/01-Farvardin.html&usg=__KWAfl5FzI8DuaY_41gpAifiouAE=& h=501&w=343&sz=27&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=I7wOxnK aVGMKgM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=89&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfarvardin%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3 Doff%26rlz%3D1C1CHMF_enCA302CA303%26sa%3DG

I really respect it, it is an interesting religion,I don't really know a lot about it but I have read some stuff on it and it is possibly the first religion with a really complex moral code and the first Monotheistic religion. If you are thinking of a tattoo I think that would be a cool one.

Yes, but the inner fraternities in YA! guard their secrets. They give themselves "high fives" with thumbs the little sissy boys.

Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest religions known.It is based on the worship of Ahura Mazda whose image is that of purifying fire and the worship of fire.It was in ancient time followed by Persian nobility and the monarchy.It is a closed religion today in the sense that you can only be a member by marrying or being born into it.Today it's followers are called parse ans.There is only some 80,000's of them today in Persia.It is often said they are the wise men from the east mentioned in the new testament. Some old testament scholars even suggest Daniel was placed over them because of his great wisdom and knowledge of the mysteries of the world etc;

It is a religion of self pride. Which does not allow anyone to enter into it, unless you are born into it.

It is a religion where a dog tells you whether or not a dead soul has reached heaven.

It has countless innovation involved, it is no longer practiced in its original form.

Zoroastrians believe in dualism. A God of good and a God of evil who are in constant battle with each other.

A seriously dying nation.

Zoroastrians of today only follow a 1/ 10 of the original source. Everythings else is made up.

It was a religion of Monotheism (One God only who created everything & has power of everything) for only a very, very short time. Unitl it changed to a dualistic religion. ( 2 Gods- good & evil ).
