yes, it was! but in high school if you take global history they don't tell you that for some reason. they lie to you and say it was Judaism

Yes it is. It is the one true faith from which all the other world religions have borrowed elements from as the basis of their own - except for Islam, which is deliberately contrary to it.

Wow. Congratulations. A really GOOD question! Many think it was. There is evidence that it predates a lot of the beliefs that are currently held and that it also has ties to a lot of the early roots of what is generally held as religious truth today.

Although there is no direct proof that it was the first, it is very possibly a strong contender for the title.
