A very ancient Persian [Iranian] religion considered to be the forerunner of monotheism [Ahura Mazda is the Supreme Being] and is credited to have influenced the major tenets of Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Vedic Hinduism. Its teachings came from Zoroaster [Zarathustra/i] who preached about dualism between the forces of Good and Evil, the afterlife, salvation, etc., and in the end, the Good will prevail over Evil...

Many parallels can be found in the Judeo-Christian and Islamic teachings that were taught several centuries earlier in Zoroastrianism. A distinctly exclusive religion, one that does not allow conversion, it continues to be practiced in Iran, India, Pakistan and various communities in the Western world today.
