Default Do Christians believe Zoroastrianism existed nearly a thousand years before Christ?

The two have a lot in common: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/06/us/06faith.html?ex=1315195200&en=848ddbd441347089&ei= 5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss

Yes, and had it not been for the Crusades, Christianity would have been nearly wiped out by Islam, as well.

They do indeed. I've always been intrigued by the fact that the first to recognize and pay homage to Christ were three magi or Zoroastrian clergy. Plus,an offshoot of Z is Mithraism (the European version) which has several obvious points of similarity to Christianity.
