Small Zoroastrian communities may be found all over the world, with a continuing concentration in Western India, Central Iran and Southern Pakistan. Zoroastrians of the diaspora are primarily located in Great Britain and the former British colonies?in particular Canada and Australia. Zoroastrian communities comprised two main groups of people: those of South Asian Zoroastrian background, who are known as Parsis (or Parsees), and those of Central Asian background.

Yes we still do practice Zoroastrianism. There are very large communities in Houston, Chicago, and a growing number in California. Yes you can convert and no it is not a fad. It is the oldest monotheistic religion in the world. If you read Parsi sites they will be like fundamental Christians and try to enforce old world laws.

There are a couple mill on people world-wide who still do, which makes it more popular than Neo-paganism or Scientology. Since most of its followers are in Muslim dominated areas where there is little religious freedom, they are heavily persecuted.

Yes, there are communities in Iran, but they flourish more in India, due to the fact that Iran oppresses them.

As noted by others, there are small Zoroastrian communities throughout the western world as well. I had the good fortune of interviewing a Zoroastrian priest for a school paper a couple of years back. He was only living a few miles from my house.

Fun fact: Freddie Mercury, the late vocalist of the English rock band Queen, was raised Zoroastrian, thus making him the best known Zoroastrian to people in the west besides Zarathustra himself.
