Default Is Christianity a copy of Zoroastrianism?

These religions (as well as Judaism and Islam) have so much in common that it simply cannot be coincidence. And Zoroastrianism is the oldest of them all, so it must be the original which the others were influenced by. Right?

Yes and No! Judaism and Islam are more complex then the Christian faith. There might be some similarities between this figure or sin or whatever. But there many more differences in the background people over look. You are correct the Christian faith and Jesus have a lot in common with Zoroastrianism. Zoroaster was born of a virgin and ?immaculate conception by a ray of divine reason.? He was baptized in a river. In his youth he astounded wise men with his wisdom. He was tempted in the wilderness by the devil. He began his ministry at age 30. Zoroaster baptized with water, fire and ?holy wind.? He cast out demons and restored the sight to a blind man. He taught about heaven and hell, and revealed mysteries, including resurrection, judgment, salvation and the apocalypse. He had a sacred cup or grail. He was slain. His religion had a Eucharist. He was the ?Word made flesh.? Zoroaster?s followers expected a ?second coming? in the virgin-born Saoshynt or Savior, who is to come in 2341 AD and begin his ministry at age 30, ushering in a golden age. There are many substantial and vital distinctions between Judaism and Christianity. Of course, there are many similarities as well, primarily because Christianity emerged from Judaism. However, the emergence was not a direct line. Christianity broke from Judaism, forming a new religion, so it is misleading, however comfortable the thought might be, to believe that the two religions are essentially the same, or to see Christianity as the natural continuation of Judaism.

The differences between the two religions will be explored below. As a preface, it is useful to repeat Judaism's central belief that the people of all religions are children of God, and therefore equal before God. All people have God's love, mercy, and help. In particular, Judaism does not require that a person convert to Judaism in order to achieve salvation. The only requirement for that, as understood by Jews, is to be ethical. While Judaism accepts the worth of all people regardless of religion, it also allows people who are not Jewish but who voluntarily wish to join the Jewish people to do so.

It is not really possible to summarize either Judaism or Christianity fairly in brevity, so further study is encouraged. Also, the formal positions of Judaism on various issues should be discussed with a rabbi. The beliefs described in this section are mainstream Christian and Jewish beliefs. Individual Christian and Jewish thinkers may differ, sometimes considerably, with the positions described here. It is nonetheless useful, even with all these limitations, to consider the differences. One book that is excellent on this subject is Judaism and Christianity: the Differences, by Trude Weiss-Rosmarin (Jonathan David, 1981).

Sorry. your question is so riddled with errors that it is difficult to know where to begin with correcting them!

1) Zoroastianism is YOUNGER than Judaism. Judaism originated around 1700BCE, Zoroastianism only around 800 BCE, some putting it even later at around 600 BCE. As such, Judaism was around as a religion for about a thousand years BEFORE Zoroastianism!
2) Judaism does not believe in a a devil opposing G-d,
3) Judaism does not have a heaven/hell dichotomy
4) Judaism doe snot have a divine Savior (the Masha, when he arrives, is one hundred percent human).

What your question does reveal is the frequent misconception that Judaism is just Christianity without Jesus. This idea is so far from the truth that it shocks most Chriostians to realize that the reason Jews reject Christianity is not just because we don't see Jesus as the messiah, but because Christian doctrine and theology is completely alien to Judaism and very little of Jewish beliefs can be found in them!
