Default Can anyone tell me more about Zoroastrianism?

I'm just really curious - I know about the history and ethnic groups (e.g. Parsis), but not much about the actual beliefs.

-Is it possible to convert (just curious, not planning to) to Zoroastrianism?

-If you are Zoroastrian, where do you live/where are you from?

Thanks for your help!

Maybe you need to compare notes with this person. He is looking for a Gnostic church.

Zoroastrianism is a religion created by the so called prophet Zarathushtra over 700 years before the birth of Christ. Zoroastrianism was the dominant world religion during the Persian empires (559 BC to 651 AC), and was thus the most powerful world religion at the time of Jesus. Although it is still practiced in Iran and India it lost the majority of its market share. Zoroastrianism is very tolerant of other religions, supportive of arts and education and places very little pressure for recruiting people outside the movement.
