Default If Islam, Christianity and Judaism are accepted as world relgions why cant zoroastria

Their are many proofs as to Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest
religions in the world. It is the said to be the first monotheistic even before Judaism God (Ahura Mazda in Avestan language). The Avesta alone dates back before the Torah. They had ideology such as heaven, hell, devil, judgment day. why don't Christians and Jews accept them as people of the book when Islam does. when Arabs invaded Persia they tolerated Zoroastrians.? why the christian and Jewish world never accepted Zoroastrians as people of the book?
sorry i phrased it wrong. what i mean why isn't it accepted as first monotheistic religion and this "first monotheistic" attribute is related to Judaisim when most of this was actually basically based on zoroastrian ideology, ideas such as heaven, hell, one god who is the undreated creator and judgment day

Ummm, it is accepted as a world religion. Why are you saying it isn't? It always has been.

P.S. Judaism doesn't have the concepts of heaven, hell, or judgment day, or the devil. Judaism never adopted these things from Zoroastrianism. Christianity did. So there is a difference. Christianity and Judaism have very little the same in their foundational doctrines and beliefs actually. Most non-Jews do not know this because Christianity teaches them that they are the same. Most Jews DO know this however.

So Zoroastrianism may have been the first to come up with these ideas, but they were not adopted by Judaism. So Judaism is not claiming to be the first with these at all, as you are accusing. Judaism doesn't claim these things.

P.S. Again. As far as claiming to the the first monotheistic religion, Zoroastrians cannot claim this, as the first known was an Egyptian Pharoah named Akhenaten. He threw out all the previous Egyptian gods and goddesses and caused the Egyptians to worship ONE god, and the Egyptians hated him for it. When Akhenaten died, they obliterated the temple he had built to the one god, and went back to their worship of many gods. This was long before Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is still alive and well today. It's much smaller than it used to be, and it's much smaller than Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. It's still around though. It's still accepted by a few million people. I'm not really sure why it wouldn't be considered a "world religion" other than the fact that few people in the western world know about it.

Zoroaster is my hero.

Not sure where you got your dates, but Judaism Prue-dates Zoroastrianism by quite some time. Zoroastrianism first turns up around 965 BCE; Judaism was around for at LEAST a thousand years before that.

As far as acceptance - why do you need my approval, or anyone Else's? Believe what you wish; as long as you don't do me any harm in the process, I don't care in the least.

Zorostriananism may have been from before Judaism, but it has strayed far from the real teachings it may have had. There are many aspects of the religion that do not meet logic such as the use of Dogs during burials and Weddings and the use of fire.

Islam, Christianity and Judaism all stem from the same root and are Abrahamic faiths.

they are recognized as a world religion. some of the foundations of Zoroastrianism do indeed go back very far. but when people talk about "people of the book" they are referring to religions that claim association with Abraham. Christians, Jews, and Muslims all claim that heritage. The Zoroasters are separate from that. They also seem to be becoming more and more of a minority, which is why they may not be included in some lists of world religions you have encountered. They are indeed an important one in worldly considerations though.

There are so few Zoroastrians that Zoroastrianism can hardly be called a "world religion" in the sense of being international. It is almost an extinct religion with no more than 200,000 followers world-wide. They are mostly in Iran, and they are persecuted in Iran!

I have never met a Zoroastrian. I have never read about it or them. And who says Islam is a religion? Jesus said beware of 'false prophets' such as Mohammad. Islam is a sect on the wrong track for eternal life. Half of them are enslaved like beasts. That would be the women, who have no 'inalienable' rights as defined in the Christian religion. Why do the women not forsake such a beastly sect?

Actually, Judaism does out date Zoroastrianism by at least a thousand years. Jews don't really have a concept of heaven and hell, it's more like returning to your creator. Zoroastrianism only has a few hundred thousand followers, that's why it is not accepted as a world religion. However, most Zoroastrians can be found in Iran, and they are given protection under the law (though I still think there is some persecution, which would be illegal). Also, People of the book really only refers to Jews, Christians, and Muslims because their texts share the same divine source, though Islamic rulers have extended them this title on occasion because of their monotheistic view.

And to iffy. It is a shame that Christians hate on Islam so much, when we give the utmost respect to Jesus, because we view him as a revered Messenger of God. It can be argued from quotes in the Bible that Muhammad was foretold by Jesus, as well. To say that the Word of God is wrong...well if that's not blasphemy then I don't know what it is. Also, at the time the Qur'an was revealed...it gave women by far the most rights than any women enjoyed around the world at the time. Both men and women have clearly outlined roles in the Qur'an..and many Muslim countries have still upheld those. Also...a few Muslim countries have had female leaders. Pakistan would be an example. When has the US had a woman as president?
