Default Is the pagan religion in Iran (Zoroastrianism) very similar to Mithraism & therefore

Zoroastrians are adopting the modern Mithraism (Christianity) with great zeal.

Mithraism is just a copycat religion that tried to mimic and copy the prophecies of the coming messiah from the teaching of Judaism, it died because it is false and when Christ came it became the light of the world which many follow today. I don't know why people want a fake why not get the real deal Jesus Christ.

Zoroastrianism believed in the dual forces of good and evil (such as a good god and bad devil in Christianity). Other than that, I'm not sure. Mithraism is based on the killing of a sacrificial bull in which all life sprang. The connection to Christianity I find there is Jesus as the sacrificial bull and the life being eternal life. But that's just my 2 cents for what its worth!

Theodore Abu Qurrah, a disciple of John Damascene, in his book God and the True Religion shows that Christianity is superior to the other religions that claim to be divinely revealed?Zoroastrianism, the Samaritan religion, Manichaeism, Gnosticism and Islam?since it is better able to meet man?s religious needs and moreover is guaranteed by miracles.
