Do most people know basic tenants of Zoroastrianism?

I don't off the top of my head, but I do know that Islam incorporated it into their religion.

If you mean tenets, I suspect not.

If you mean tenants, they've been mostly evicted!

I have read parts of the Avesta, but don't claim any good knowledge.

yes of course, it is all about devil worshiping. I met once two people from that "religion" and they relay got angry as i talked about the devil (being evil). The devil for them is as important as God for Muslims/ Christians. To outside res they will swear being Muslims, maybe because they fear persecution.
And they like to set fire on celebrations.
