It is the religion and philosophy based on the teachings ascribed to the prophet Zoroaster.

One God belief.

The basis of Christianity.

History/Founder: Founded in Persia around 1200-1600 BC by the prophet Zoroaster (Zarathustra), Zoroastrianism is the world's oldest continuing monotheistic religion. Zoroaster proclaimed Ahura Mazda to be the one Creator of all (God). Some scholars believe that Zoroastrian doctrines - those of heaven and hell, the struggle of good versus evil, and a redeeming messiah- have deeply influenced the Jewish and Christian religions.

Zoroastrianism is one of two remaining dualist religions (the other being the Manicheans). At the center of Zoroastrian belief is a duality of conflicting forces- Ahura-Mazda (Ormahzd), the supreme entity and the force of good, versus Ahriman, the force of evil and darkness. These forces are locked in a constant struggle, but good, as always, is expected to prevail.

Some quick facts about Zoroastrianism:

Zarathushtra (Zoroaster in Greek) was the first monotheist. This means he was the first person who believed in one God.

Zoroastrians call their God Ahura Mazda. Ahura means "Lord" and Mazda means "Wisdom".

Zoroastrians believe that Ahura Mazda is their Friend. And their purpose in this world is to help God make the world a better place to live.

Zarathushtra says there are two ways of thinking in the world. One is good and the other is bad.

Every one is free to choose between good and bad. However, only those who choose the good will achieve happiness and peace.

Zoroastrians pray at fire temples. They respect fire because it is the symbol of Ahura Mazda. But Zoroastrians never worship fire.

Zoroastrianism has influenced Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Ideas like heaven and hell, afterlife, and coming of a savior all have roots in Zoroastrianism.

The Zoroastrian holy book is the Gathas, the sacred hymns of Righteous Zarathushtra. The Gathas are part of the Avesta. The Avesta is an ancient Zoroastrian religious book written centuries after Zarathushtra. Some beliefs in the Avesta are against Zarathushtra's views.

Zarathushtra has offered his sacred Message to all mankind not just the Iranians. Anyone who is interested in his ideas can convert to Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is based on Good Thoughts, Good Deeds, and Good Words.

Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism is the religion and philosophy based on the teachings ascribed to the prophet Zoroaster (Zarathustra, Zartosht). Mazdaism is the religion that acknowledges the divine authority of Ahura Mazda, proclaimed by Zoroaster to be the one uncreated Creator of all (God).
As demonstrated by Zoroastrian creed and articles of faith, the two terms are effectively synonymous. In a declaration of the creed ? the Fravar?n? ? the adherent states: "?I profess myself a devotee of Mazda, a follower of Zarathustra." (Yasna 12.2, 12.8)

Zoroastrianism was the first of the revealed monotheism's. It profoundly influenced Judaism and, in turn, Christianity and Islam (Boyce, 1979). Fundamental religious concepts, such as the Resurrection, appeared first in Zoroastrianism (King, 1887). In its native Iran, Zoroastrianism was largely displaced by Islam in the 7Th century. Today it survives as a small worldwide religion with its largest center in India.

i am Muslim myself and i am Iranian but stoatshat a great religion that can teach you the way of life
